The good feeling.

Everything started with an ingenious idea: an alternative bag to the heavy and bulky satchels – but rather lightweight and colourful. Based on this idea, the first Scout was developed in 1975. Today, far more than 10 million children have attended school with a Scout, and the brand Scout has become a synonym for schoolbags. Many of the children from that time are parents themselves today – and want to give their children that exact same good feeling as they experienced years ago on their way into a new, exciting stage of life with a Scout.

Awarded: Scout is "Brand of the century"!

As "Brand of the century" Scout represents a whole category: schoolbags. The award stresses the significance and importance of the Scout brand. The "brands of the century" were created in 2003 and have since then been awarded every 3 years. The publishing company honours the estimatedly most powerful German brands in the market which were able to communicate in a unique manner quality and brandhistory to the consumer.

Production according to the highest quality standards – carefully handcrafted. You can feel … and explore the result. For example: the hard-wearing polyester fabric has a waterproof impregnation. All materials used when producing a Scout are free of AZO-colours, Cadmium, PCP and allergy-causing dyes. We use recycled polyester fibres from PET bottles for the Scout Genius and Ultra collection. All Scout schoolbags are recyclable.

Scout's success story.


The brand Scout is introduced to the market in 1975 and replaces quickly the leather schoolbag. With high wearing comfort, fluorescent fabric and reflective clasps.


Scout participates in creating the first German Safety Standard for schoolbags – including retroreflective material that reflects incident light in the dark.


The Scout Maxi is the first schoolbag in a softer backpack design – a pioneer of a lasting trend.


Easy I sets new standards in terms of schoolbag equipment – with organizer, mobile phone pocket and interior sub-compartments.


The Easy II with a smaller body and additional side pockets becomes one of the most successful Scout schoolbags – and gets twice appointed "best in test" by "Stiftung Warentest" (important German consumer association).


Scout Mega is a lightweight offering a lot of space and mastering to combine safety, ergonomics, function and style.


Scout offers the perfect schoolbag even for the smallest school starters: Scout Nano in a modern soft form with high wearing comfort and clever details.


As successor of the Easy II model, Buddy sets new standards: its back padding provides optimised air circulation and an even better wearing comfort.


Scout Sunny adjusts to the children's growing backs thanks to its innovative adjustable back strap system. New as well: the bright yellow warning areas.


The new Scout Alpha offers additionally even more spacious side pockets, expandable interior capacity and a spacious front pocket.


The Scout Genius is the robust one among the modern schoolbags – and makes everyday life at school ingeniously easy. This also appeals to the jurors of the Red Dot Award.


The new Scout Ultra – a new mix of schoolbag and backpack for school: with a stable front and soft sides. New are also the Funny Snaps that can be fixed in the loops of the lid and the sports bag – and also be exchanged for new looks over and over again.


The new Scout Genius is slimmer, yet consistently robust and practical. It now also has a lot in common with the Scout Ultra: the motifs, the Funny Snaps® and the material for the outer fabric and inner lining – recycled polyester fibres from PET bottles.
